Today, we are so glad to share this poem written by Sawyer Jane Baker Corey. Sawyer died tragically at the tender age of 12, in the flash flood mudslide that took place in Montecito, California in 2018. Her mother erected this plaque with her poem after her death. The mud swept away their home leaving Mom Carrie and twin sister, Summer, badly injured while Sawyer and older sister, Morgan did not survive the disaster.
We honor this talented young writer and send our blessings, condolences and prayers to her family.
