Today’s average life span is approximately 85 years. If you take your age now and subtract it from the estimated expectancy of 85, THAT is what you have left!
Yes, I know!! Many of you may find this a bit morbid, yet for myself, I am on the clock, as that is how much time I have left to do all that I said I would do to leave my legacy for my son and the world.
If you are NOT looking at your life in this way, you may be missing out! Life is not about going day by day and seeing what shows up, or worse, just getting through the day.  Life is about LIVING each day to the fullest, and YOU CREATING HOW YOUR LIFE IS GOING TO GO!
TIME: A word used so loosely and frequently taken for granted. Time is the indefinite continued progress of existence. It will always be here. It was here before you were alive and will remain long after you are gone. It is not something that stops – yet you do. YOU stop your life right in its tracks. You stop yourself from growing, loving, forgiving, caring, discovering…..I could go on for hours writing how you stop yourself from dancing with the time of your life.
This post is not for the weak at heart and it may even trigger you. I am OK with that. As I will never forget the life lesson I learnt when I discovered how short life really is. It was when I finally woke up from a deep depression and starting living again after Walter’s sudden death that it became clear to me that I needed to learn a life lesson as painful as that was,  for me to wake up and not take time for granted anymore.
Since then, I have been growing and developing myself beyond anything I had experienced before by continuously putting myself in confronting spaces of self-development to give my ego, pride and past a big kick in the ass!
Time has a wonderful way of showing us what really matters. Unless you are really honest with yourself, you may go through your days inside a bubble of “why me?” “poor me” or “it will never happen for me”. That bubble is suffocating and you are at the source of cutting off your own oxygen supply.
T….I…M…E- Time- This is MY Evolution.
This is an acronym that I LOVE to use to remind myself every time I get out of line in my head and think I have all the time in the world to complete something that is important to me.
The word Evolution is powerful, yet simple, and means the gradual progression of something. From the time you were born, till today you have gradually progressed into who you are NOW. For many, you believe you are a collection of your past experiences, education, current circumstances, cultural and religious beliefs. For the most part, this is accurate, YET, the missing piece of that statement is the word “MY”.
MY Evolution. Which indicates that YOU have a say in the matter. YOU actually get to choose how you will evolve as a human being during your time on earth and there is nothing and no one who can say or do anything to stop you. The “MY” is the source to your WHY, and if you do not get hungry enough to evolve in a way that has you excited to wake up in the morning, then you may just be one of those people that are existing, only to one day just die.

Today is about you getting out of trouble… YUP! You are in trouble….Why? Because you think you have  lots of time. Stop lying to yourself! Make that mentality stop today. If you can’t, then start practising interrupting it! Get an army of people to surround you and hold you accountable for the extraordinary person you really are.  If you are interested in making 2017 be the year that spearheads the rest of your life, it is going to take you giving up the belief that YOU HAVE TIME… Now, I do not mean going around living in fear that you are going to die. I mean taking on each day and giving it all you’ve got!!

I am referring to living juicy. Having the craziest love affair with your husband, wife, your partner or put yourself out there and open your heart for that divine love to find you. Explore everything you dream to do. Think BIGGER than what you believe is even possible. Take risks – giant ones. Try new things. Be the change you want to see in the world and a leader your children can emulate. Give up holding back because you fear what others will say, and for goodness sake: forgive, FORGIVE, forgive….others and yourself.  You do not have time to hold your life ransom. In fact, no one is going to come and pay it. Your life is your asset and your liability and it is the ONLY one you have.
With that, I leave you with one of my favorite verses:
Time is FREE,
But it is PRICELESS.
You can’t own it,
Yet you can use it.
You can’t keep it,
Yet you can spend it.
Once you have lost it,
You can never get it back.
